Website security
Our website uses WordPress and Jetpack, provided by Automattic. We do not use Jetpack Stats to collect website visitor statistics.
Jetpack is used to help protect the website against malicious or fraudulent login attempts. This may involve processing IP addresses, attempted usernames or email addresses, user-agent information and information about failed login attempts.
We also use Limit Login Attempts Reloaded to help protect the website against repeated unauthorised login attempts. This may involve processing and temporarily recording technical information such as IP addresses for security purposes.
Search engines
We use Google Search Console and website verification tools to help us understand how our website appears in search results and to identify technical or indexing problems.
These services are not used by Hampshire Clock Works to identify individual customers through this website.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our website and the services used to operate and protect it may use cookies or similar technologies where necessary for security or website functionality.
We do not currently use Jetpack Stats, Google Analytics or advertising pixels to track visitors to this website. If we introduce non-essential tracking or advertising technologies in the future, we will update this notice and obtain consent where required by law.

Routine enquiries that do not result in work being undertaken do not need to be retained indefinitely.

Because mechanical clocks may remain in use for many decades and can return to us for subsequent servicing, relevant repair-history records may be retained where they continue to have a legitimate service purpose.
